Gauhati University GU PG Entrance Exam 2023- Gauhati University is set to conduct the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) in 2023 for admission to its Post Graduate courses and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2023-2024. The PGET-2023 will be administered in 11 centers located across the North Eastern States.
Candidates aspiring to pursue MA, MSc, M.Com at GU for the academic session 2023-24 can now apply online for the entrance examination.
It includes the Application Fee of Rs.1000 for one subject / Rs.1500 for two subjects / Rs.2000 for three subjects.
The Registration Fee is Non-Refundable.No of questions: 100
Negative marking: For each wrong answer, a 0.25 mark will be deducted.
Duration of exam: 2 Hours.

MA and M.Sc Courses:
- Candidates should have completed their BA/B.Sc under the 10+2+3 pattern with a major or honors in the relevant subject.
- For B.Com graduates, a minimum of 40% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in aggregate in the General Course in the 10+2+3 pattern is required.
- For courses in the 2+1 pattern, the calculation of 45% marks will be based on marks obtained in Part 1 and 2. For courses in the 1+1+1 pattern, it will be based on marks obtained in Part 1, 2, and 3.
M.Com Courses:
- Candidates should have completed their B.Com in the 10+2+3 pattern with a Major course.
- For B.Sc/BA graduates, a minimum of 45% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the concerned subject is required in the 10+2+3 pattern with General/Pass Course subjects.
