Pragyan Bharati Scheme
The Government of Assam started a scheme named Pragyan Bharati Scheme in 2020. Under this scheme, the government will provide scooters to all girls who have secured 60% or more marks and boys securing 75% or more marks in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by AHSEC. This scheme is also widely known and referred to as the Assam HS Scooty Scheme in Assam.

Further Studies: The student must continue their studies beyond 10+2.
Distribution Date of Award: Not Specified
In 2024, 40,735 girls and 7,938 boys will receive scooters under the Scooty Scheme. This year, there is no need to fill out an online application for this scheme.
Students in the betterment, reappearance category or dropouts are not eligible for the Assam HS Scooty Scheme.
Assam Scooty Merit List 2024
On 20th July 2024, the Directorate of Higher Education released the lists of students who secured the required marks in the Assam HS Final Examination, 2024. The download link for the Assam Scooty Merit List, along with other basic information, is provided in the following table.

District Wise Distribution Schedule
As of now, the department has not notified the distribution schedule for the Assam Scooty Scheme 2024. Last year, the distribution process of scooters to eligible students began on 30th November 2023. We advise everyone to wait for the official distribution notification for the exact date.How to Apply for the Assam Scooty Scheme?
There was an online application process in the initial phase of this scheme, but in recent years, there is no requirement to submit applications for the Assam Scooty Scheme. The merit list is prepared based on the data provided by the Assam Higher Secondary Council, which already has all the necessary details of the students, including their exam results.
